Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts offers a wide array of HMO plans to suit your varying cost needs and desired range of benefits; these include HMO Blue, HMO Blue Value Plus, HMO Blue Enhanced Value, HMO Blue Value, HMO Blue Deductible Option, and HMO Blue Preferences.
• HMO New England, health maintenance organization plans tailored to the needs of New England residents, give members convenient access to providers within the New England region; these plans are especially helpful to members who live in one state while working in another. With HMO New England, members choose primary care physicians who direct their health care routines and refer then to in-network specialists. The following HMO New England plans are offered: HMO Blue® New England, HMO Blue New England Value Plus Option, HMO Blue New England Value Option, HMO Blue New England Deductible Option.
• POS, point of service plans give members the freedom to choose in-network as well as non-network providers. Members choose primary care physicians who direct their health routines, but they can also self-refer to in-network providers at a higher out-of-pocket expense.
